Biography
My name is Vincent Lucarini. I’m the K-8 Special Education Teacher at Academy Del Sol. I earned a Master of Arts in Education and Linguistics from Temple University in Philadelphia and a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV/Film & French also from Temple. I’m certified in three different areas in the state of Arizona: K-12 Special Education, K-12 ESL and K-12 French Bilingual. I started my teaching career in Tokyo, Japan and since then have taught and been an administrator in international schools in Russia, Romania, Germany, Viet Nam, Austria and Luxembourg. I’ve also taught at the CESL Department at the University of Arizona and taught 3 years in the Amphitheater school district in Tucson. I’m an avid fan of jazz and blues and spent 5 years playing guitar in my own band before moving overseas. I love learning languages and taught myself French while working in French restaurants during my undergraduate and graduate years. I speak fairly good Russian although I’m out of practice at the moment. I’ve been married for 25 years to my wife Elizabeth who is also an educator. Our dream is to live in Paris, France someday.
